Music
Each student has one Music class weekly. The program includes different ways for students to participate, such as playing classroom instruments, singing and movement. The content of the program addresses in varying degrees musical skills, a broad song repertoire, music history and the support of school-wide themes and projects. Special performances are part of the music curriculum. The Music program is enriched with clubs such as choir, opera club, band and an after-school instrumental program. In addition, all students take Israeli Dancing with a dance instructor.

Art
Specialists provide formal and informal opportunities to explore various media and techniques. Projects compliment classroom activities in both general and Judaic studies. Art teachers encourage students to develop the ability to look at the world with creativity and imagination. Students are encouraged to develop their special interests in the arts through clubs and after-school programs.

Physical Education
PJDS provides a diverse program of skill building and physical fitness, with opportunities for students to participate in team and individual sports.

All students attend two 40-minute Physical Education classes per week. They are well organized and provide carefully constructed and developmentally appropriate lessons. The focus of all activities is to foster the physical, social and emotional advancement of each student. A commitment is made to instill a strong sense of fair play. Students are guided in the proper way to respond to both winning and losing situations.

Computer Technology
Comprehensive computer literacy activities integrate the classroom curriculum. Working both in a state-of-the-art computer laboratory and on classroom computers, students reinforce and expand their skills. The program fosters deductive and divergent thinking and encourages creative problem solving. The computer program interfaces with both our general and Judaic studies curriculum.
