Our students are generally transported to school in carpool or by their neighborhood public school buses.
Under PA Act 372, transportation is provided by the State of Pennsylvania free of charge to non-public school students who attend a school located within their school district, or up to ten miles outside their public school district boundaries. This applies for City of Philadelphia residents in Grades 1-5 and suburban residents in Gan (kindergarten)-Grade 5. Perelman provides the names and addresses of our students to their respective school districts and the districts then determine the bus routes. In late August, school districts will send bus route information directly to families, or will publish the information on their websites.
Perelman also offers a private transportation option for Philadelphia families. Based on availability, families with students in Grades 1-5 may choose busing provided by the Philadelphia School District (no cost) or opt for private van transportation at a subsidized fee of $3,950/child for the 23-24 academic year. Private companies utilize a hub system and may not offer pick-in front of students’ homes.
Ganon (Pre-K)/Gan students from Philadelphia will have a private transportation option to and from school as follows:
Ganon/Gan - The subsidized fee per child for private transportation from Center City will be $3,950 for the 2023-24 academic year.
Families with Ganon/Gan students residing in Northwest (Mt. Airy, East Falls, Chestnut Hill, Germantown) and Northeast Philadelphia who are interested in private transportation may contact
Mindy Andelman for additional information.
Our school office will assist families wishing to organize private carpools by connecting you with other Perelman families who live nearby. Contact
