Students, Faculty & Families Celebrate Sukkot and Simchat Torah Together
Our celebrations continued with the festive holidays of Sukkot and Simchat Torah! Students marked the holiday of Sukkot by participating in activities such as baking apple bars, shaking the lulav and etrog, creating paper chains and decorations for the school sukkah, and making model sukkahs out of arts supplies or graham crackers. Families also participated in the fun during our PTO-led Sukkot celebrations!
Our 5th grade students took on a leadership role during the holiday by reading from the Torah, and each grade had the honor of coming up to the Torah for an aliyah before and after each reading, followed by performing an Israeli dance. Ganon and first grade students also decorated special hats and flags, which they brought to the celebration.
