Students in third grade celebrated with their families and classmates during their Kabbalat Tanakhim ceremonies. During this special day filled with Hebrew songs, prayers, and dancing, students were presented with their own tanakh - the Hebrew Bible. Leading up to this day, students read and learned from the tanakh with Rabbi Chaim. Now that they have reached this milestone, they will continue their learning using their own personal copies.
Perelman Jewish Day School is committed to being a place of serious, creative learning of Jewish texts. Through the generosity of the Kriger Book Fund, a different Jewish book is given to students each year, beginning in Gan, assuring that by the time they graduate, students will own a substantial Jewish library.
