Gan students have been hard at work using the writing skills they have been developing during Writer’s Workshop to write their own stories! Each student chose a true memorable event containing at least three different details that they could use to write their story. In addition to their writing, students drew illustrations to represent their writing on each page. These creative writing pieces included stories about birthday parties, setting up new bedroom decorations, and playing with friends. These student authors’ stories demonstrate how exciting writing can be!
At Perelman, we are all about stories – of history, courage, discovery, and hope. We teach our children to uncover these stories through exploration and research – encouraging them to ask questions, pursue knowledge, and use their voices – to analyze facts, exchange ideas, and express themselves.
