Students Showcase Original Writing Pieces at Authors’ Cafe
Our community came together to celebrate our student authors at our Authors’ Cafe! Each student author proudly shared an original writing piece of their choosing, which they had been developing throughout the course of the school year.
Students showed support for each other throughout the evening as they introduced their classmates prior to their reading and gave positive feedback on their writing pieces. The event also featured a gallery walk displaying student artwork and projects made in the Laudau Family Makerspace. A beautiful sense of community could be felt as everyone came together for this wonderful event. Parents and teachers alike were incredibly proud of all the hard work our students put into their incredible writing pieces!
The goal of Perelman’s writing program is to produce confident, reflective, articulate writers who know that they have something important to say and the skill to say it well. In each grade, students have an opportunity to hone their skills in narrative, informational, persuasive writing, and poetry, which students showcased during the cafe.
