The Jewish New Year is upon us and Perelman students prepared for Rosh Hashanah in a number of meaningful ways!
Each morning students and faculty came together as a community for the blowing the shofar, as is traditional during the month of Elul. In their classes, students reflected on the past year, making amends, and setting goals for the new year, while our fourth grade students made their own shofars with experts! During integrated science lessons, our students studied apples — with exploration into their lifecycle as well as best practices for their preservation and the process of oxidation.
The celebrations and learning continued during two exciting events where we partnered with jkidphilly and Schmear It, where students explored the Five Senses for Rosh Hashanah.
Shanah tovah to our Perelman community! Wishing everyone a sweet new year.
