First Grade Students Welcome retired President Judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court into their Classroom during Social Studies Unit

In conjunction with their social studies unit on rules, laws, and community helpers, first grade students welcomed special guest Susan Gantman, retired President Judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court and Perelman grandparent, into their classroom!

During this engaging session, Judge Gantman discussed the three branches of government and their make-up, how to vote in the upcoming election, and read them a Cat in the Hat book about voting. Our curriculum is designed to enable students to uncover what it means to be active citizens, and Perelman teachers and community members fuel students’ curiosity and passion for learning by finding exciting and engaging ways to bring this learning to life!
