2nd Grade Students Engineer Ziplines

Riding on ziplines at school?! In the Landau Makerspace, anything is possible. Earlier this year, Perelman second graders were challenged to create a device that would protect a figurine as it went down a zipline from the top of the playground. Using entirely recycled materials, our budding engineers created devices that would keep the figurine safe without taping, tying, or gluing it down.

The project culminated with venturing out to the playground, where each student tested their design and cheered on their classmates’ successes!
