The Jewish New Year is almost upon us and Perelman students are preparing for Rosh Hashanah in a number of meaningful ways:
- Exploring the Five Senses for Rosh Hashanah, at two exciting events where we partnered with jkidphilly and Schmear It - Blowing the shofar each morning as a community, as is traditional during the month of Elul - Reflecting on the past year, making amends, and setting goals for the new year - Making their own shofars with experts - Studying apples in science class — with exploration into their lifecycle as well as best practices for their preservation and the process of oxidation - Reading Dr. Seuss’ “10 Apples Up On Top” in Gan and Ganon and then creating apple towers - …and of course enjoying apples and honey!
Shanah tovah to our Perelman community! Wishing everyone a sweet new year.
