All About First Grade Writers

Our first grade students have just begun their new “All About” unit as part of Perelman’s writing curriculum. Students brainstormed a list of topics about which they consider themselves to be experts. They used the list to select the topic for their first “All About” writing piece.

Students are learning the writing process and are using graphic organizers to help them map out their ideas prior to writing. Perelman lays the foundation for strong writing skills, which students will continue to enhance throughout the course of their education!
