2024 Perelman Tribute Event!

On May 22, more than 350 members of our Perelman family joined us for an incredible Tribute Event dedicated to the power of a Perelman education. It was so special to be together to celebrate how we inspire tomorrow's proud, determined leaders through remarkable academics, strong Jewish identity, and an indelible connection to Israel.

Thank you to this year’s Tribute Event Co-Chairs Allison and Stu Goodman and Pam and Dave Kuperstein and Tribute Journal Chairs Tracy and Jon Friedman. Thank you as well to our Development Committee, under the capable leadership of Daniel Eisenstadt and Peter Rosenberg, for their devotion to our wonderful school.

Special thanks to our stellar graduates who helped make these videos so great - Silvi Specter, Jenna Ferman, and Eva Wyner - and of course deepest gratitude to keynote speaker and alum Jonathan Schanzer, who delivered the keynote address, What's Next for Israel. Jonathan concluded his remarks with the following:

"I was taught from an early age that it is our job here in the United States to support the world’s only Jewish state.....Supporting Israel is actually key to our survival as Jews here in the United States....Without Israel, we lack a religious and cultural homeland. Without Israel, we lack an identity.

I learned this when I was an elementary school student [at Perelman]. And I never forgot it...Thank you, Perelman, for the education you have given me."

Jonathan Schanzer ‘84 and Ari Goodman '24 talked about how to ask important questions and find the right answers - and how a Perelman education helps students leverage their curiosity to find their way in today’s complex world.

Jenna Ferman '08, Assistant Director, Penn Hillel, and Addison Nachmani '24 talked about challenges on college campuses, how Perelman empowers children to be proud, knowledgeable leaders and why it’s important to forge lifelong connections to our heritage.

Silvi Specter '08, Co-Founder, Unit 107, and Noah Greenbaum '24 explored how to repair the world, as seen through the eyes of a Perelman 5th grader and a compassionate entrepreneur who established a non-profit that delivers lifesaving supplies to Israeli soldiers in need.

Eva Wyner '08, Deputy Director of Jewish Affairs, New York State Executive Chamber, and Gideon Wrigley '24 discussed what it means to advocate, speak up, and combat injustice. Together they examined why we must never remain silent and why Perelman students are uniquely prepared to drive positive change.
